The mission of the Filipino-Asian Community of St. Thérèse of Carmel is to share our rich and diverse heritages, cultures and religious traditions while working together to support and enhance individual and families' faith journeys through enriching and spirited fellowship, and to contribute our talents and resources to confirm our commitment to one another, our parish community and all those we touch.

St. Thérèse of Carmel (originally St. William of York) began with cordial salutations among few acquaintances. When the first building campaign was initiated, a small group of families agreed to join efforts to help and contribute towards the project. Henceforth, an informal meeting was organized, brainstorming ensued, talents were discovered and a successful "Filipiniana Night" showcasing the traditions, music, food and culture from the Philippines, successfully came into fruition. Through this initial accomplishment, a warm camaraderie developed, a few Chinese, Guamanian and Korean parishioners joined, and the community began to and continues to evolve with a growing spirit of fellowship and commitment to the church and one another.
