St. Therese of Carmel Faith Formation Program

Our mission is to provide young people with the knowledge, experiences, and skills necessary to become faithful disciples of Jesus.

In keeping with their age and ability, they will assume responsibility as vital members of the parish and be able to participate in the Parish’s mission to know, love and serve; and to transform our world through Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Classes are offered for children entering 1st grade through high school, which includes classes for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.


 

Faith Formation Calendar of Events

Please note there are two changes made to the calendar that was given to parents at the beginning of the year.

These changes involve moving Sr. Eva’s Missions talk from October 17 to November 7, and the fact that we will NOT have Faith Formation classes on April 10th nor April 11th.

 

 

Class Schedule

Faith Formation for the 2012-2013 School-Year began the week of September 23rd.
Registration Forms are available at the bottom of this page, in the back of Church and in the Parish Office.

 

Sunday  

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm:  10th - 12th Grade
Confirmation Program and Mystagogia Post-Confirmation Group  

Wednesday  

4:15 pm - 5:30 pm: 1st - 5th Grade and Sacramental Prep

6:30 pm - 7:45 pm: 6th - 9th Grade   

 Thursday  

 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm. 1st - 9th Grade

Elementary Faith Formation Class Update (9/25/2012)

Wednesday Classes:

Closed: 1st and 2nd Grades
Open: 3rd - 5th Grades

Thursday Classes:

Closed: 1st, 2nd and 4th Grades
Open: 3rd and 5th Grades

 Faith Formation

  • Did you recently register with the parish and have questions?
  • Did you recently move into the area or transfer from another parish and want your children to continue Faith Formation classes?
  • Do you have a child or teenager who has not had any catechetical formation (has not been enrolled in a Faith Formation class), but you are now ready to begin?
  • Do you want your child to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist this year, but they did not attend classes last year?

Please contact Nina Baumgardner, Coordinator of Youth Ministry, at nbaumgardner@sttheresecarmel.org if you have a child entering 6th - 9th grade or have questions about youth group, Conquest or Challenge.
