Youth Group

Attention 7th - 12th Graders: stop by the Youth Room every Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to hang out, play X-Box, play sports, watch movies rock out on the drums, guitar, and piano and have an awesome time!

Oktoberfest Volunteers Needed

Wanna have fun and earn service hours?

Attention 7th - 12th Graders: We need your help with Oktoberfest, our annual parish festival, held Saturday, September 11th here at the Church. Shifts are available between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. This is a great way to earn hours and serve your parish!

 Movie Nights

Attention 6th - 8th Graders: Join us for Middle School Movie Night on Saturday, September 18th from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. in the Youth Room.

Attention 9th-12th Graders: Join us for High School Movie Night on Saturday, September 25th from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. in the Youth Room.

Please bring $5 for pizza, popcorn, and soda. RSVP now and bring friends!

Krispy Kreme Fundraiser

Want a free Krispy Kreme donut?

Sell donuts after the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses on Sunday, September 19th  to raise money for youth programs like mission trips, retreats, and World Youth Day 2011 in Spain. RSVP to help ASAP.

Attention Parents: We are looking for adult volunteers to help brew the coffee and set up for the 9:00 a.m. Mass. Email Tony ASAP.

Believe Youth Rally

"These have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God." Jn 20:31

Believe Youth Rally is a day for High School Youth to come together to have fun, grow in authentic faith, and be inspired by God. Believe will be held on Saturday, October 16th at the Church of the Resurrection in Escondido. The cost is only $35/person. Please RSVP by Monday, September 20th.

 

Life Walk 2010

Walk a Day, Support Life

Life Walk 2010 is a fundraiser for Life Perspectives, an organization that offers compassionate and engaging speakers and curriculum on issues like life ethics, non-violence, responsibility, and respect to middle schools, high schools and colleges. Life Walk unites more than 600 men, women, families, and teens each year in the shared belief in the right to life. Life Walk will be held on Saturday, October 30th at Mission Bay Park.There is no cost to participate in this event; however, walkers are encouraged to get sponsors who will make donations to support their walk. The St. Therese of Carmel Youth Group will be supporting this event. Email Tony to get involved.

World Youth Day 2011

"Rooted and built up in Jesus Christ, Firm in the Faith" Col. 2:7

World Youth Day is a great meeting of young people from all over the world that inspires youth to live their faith more boldly. St. Therese of Carmel is taking a group to World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid, Spain the week of August 15th - 22nd, 2011. The conference includes World-Renowned Speakers,  Historical & Spiritual Sites, Concerts & Shows, and Mass with the Pope! Stay tuned for the next informational meeting. Conquest is a group for young men, 5th-12th grade, who want to hang out, play sports, talk about their faith and serve others. We meet on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30  a.m. in the Office of Faith Formation.

Challenge Club for Girls

Challenge is an opportunity for girls, 5th - 8th grade,  to form a deeper friendship with Christ through sharing, prayer, and service. We meet on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Office of Faith Formation.

Youth Choir

Youth Choir is a choral group for 5th-8th graders that leads the music at the 11:00 a.m. Mass on the first Sunday of the Month. Under the musical direction of Tony Krzmarzick and Theresa Coggeshall, young people will explore a wide variety of Liturgical music, learn basic music skills, and have a lot of fun!

Youth Choir is off for the summer. We will be starting up again in September.
